Born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana (USA). Lando attended Southern University A&M Baton Rouge, Louisiana (USA) where he graduated as the Student Marshall of the Southern University College of Education Spring 2016. He continued his education while teaching and Serving as the Social Studies Department Head of Capitol Pre-college Academy for Girls in Baton Rouge, La. He later received his Masters of Education in Administration and Supervision in the Fall of 2007 from Southern University A&M in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. From there Mr. Sterling moved to Houston, Texas (USA) where he served as a Middle School Social Studies Teacher and Coach at Southmore Intermediate. During his tenure at Southmore Intermediate, Mr. Sterling was a member of the Number One Social Studies Department of PISD and won various District Championships while coaching Boys Basketball, American Football, Track, and Cross Country. Mr. Sterling later left Southmore Intermediate to take a gap year and travel the world. From that point Mr. Sterling visited 6 of the 7 Continents touring 45+ countries. At the end of his gap year, Mr. Sterling accepted a position of High School Social Studies Teacher and Social Studies Department Head of the International American School of Cancun (Mexico). After an amazing 2 years of growing as an educator, Mr. Sterling was delighted to be welcomed to Estonia and the I.S.E. family. Lando is hopeful, motivated, and ready to achieve even higher levels of success in education working with the faculty and students of his current I.S.E. Family.
